After having had just about every kind of guitar (both electric and acoustic) through the years, I've settled on using a Godin Multiac SA (both steel and nylon-string) through a Roland VG-88 then through a Yamaha AG Stomp for my solo gigs (the Stomp adds a nice "air" to the acoustic patches). Below, on the left, is a picture of me with one of my favorite guitars... my nylon-string Godin (circa 2002). The pic on the right is my "mongrel" Strat (circa 2007... geez, did I gray that much in 5 years?!)... a hard-tail... notice the 3 white on/off buttons for the pick-ups (EMG's)... thank you, Jim Messina for me showing this mod... now you can get any combination of pickup configurations (are you listening Fender?)... For the gear-heads, below that is a list of guitars and equipment I use for recording and performing live.

I made it from scratch with the help of my friend Tim Quertermous... luthier extraordinaire in Little Rock, AR... flame swamp ash... tung oil finish... the widest neck Warmouth makes (I've got fat fingers)... and extremely heavy... but geez does it sustain!
